The Angling Trust are a not for profit organisation, representing anglers, fighting for fish, fishing and the environment.

They are recognised by the Government as the National Governing Body for angling in England and partner with Visit Wales and NRW to promote Fishing in Wales.

Clubmate works closely with the Angling Trust, assisting their member clubs & fisheries to bring fishing club and fishery administration into the twenty first century. By utilising technology, angling organisations can remove the barriers for entry to the sport, make it more efficient for staff & volunteers to fulfil their duties and increase participation amongst the next generation.

Through this partnership, Clubmate provide invaluable (non-personally identifiable) data on current participation levels for angling across England and Wales.

From this information the Angling Trust is able to identify regions and sectors of the population who are not currently engaged with the sport but could be. This data will also provide the Angling Trust with the necessary evidence to justify additional funding to develop the sport from grassroots participation through to elite performance.
